PERSUASIVE SPEECH - BULLYING


Bullies Are Criminals

Have you ever bullying or bullied by your classmates before? What do you feel at that time? Based on Black and Jackson (2007, in Margaretha 2010) Bullying is aggressive behavior proactive type in which there are aspects of the intent to dominate, hurt, or get rid of, an imbalance in physical strength, age, cognitive abilities, skills, or social status, and performed repeatedly by one or several children to the other children. Meanwhile Elliot (2005) state that bullying as actions taken by someone to make others afraid. Bullying also can causes the victim at - least unhappy. In addition, bullying also involves the power and authority that is not balanced, so that the victim did not defend themselves effectively against the victim received a negative action (Krahe, 2005). Bully consist of B,U,L,L,Y. B for Big, U for Ugly, L for Loner L for Loser and Y for Yearning Attention. So, bullying is the use of aggresion with the intention to hurting another person both physically and mentally and done repeatedly.  Bullying is a constant problem in schools today. It starts with annoying comments, but escalates to more severe matters. We’ve seen it happen, and a lot of us know how it feels. None of us like it. People might say they are just stupid kids, but bullies truly are criminals, because it can make the victim stealing self-esteem and can make the victims ending their lives. First of all, bullying is a crime, because of the serious effects it can have on an individual. And, once robbed of their self-esteem they can suffer from mental and physical problems, drop out of school and even commit suicide.  Many adults still get teary recalling their humiliating days on their hands. Bullying dont operate by alone. They pick up sycophantic students along the way and that multiplies the victim’s pain. They build on those insecurities and insult the different qualities of kids. No one likes the way insults feel, and this is why bullies are criminals and deserve more severe consequences.

Secondly, bullying can end in a tragic death. Though it does not happen often, it has
happened. The usual event is suicide of the victim, or a violent act by the bully that may end in murder. For example, “15 year old Phoebe Prince hung herself after being harassed by
classmates who threw cans at her before speeding off.” Phoebe had been bullied for almost three months before this occurred. There is also teenager Larry King who was shot his head in front of a teacher and when classroom full of students. These horrible events can start for many reasons including jealousy, gender bias, or racism; it just isn’t right. Bullies are criminals because they terrorize and harass their victims, ripping apart their selfesteem and attacking their insecurities until the unthinkable happens,  violence or even a tragic death.

People often think that bullies don’t see the negative effects of their actions, or that they don’t understand what they are doing to others, whether they know it is wrong. Bullying someone is abuse. Some people might say, “Bullying is really common.” Hay open your eyes, bully is criminal act because it can make the other feel afraid of you. In addition, parents, schools, and kids need to work together. The problems won’t go away on their own. We need to look at the facts of each case and take the appropriate action.
And I persuade you say no to bully! Bullying is a criminal act. Bullies harass, terrorize, and use verbal and physical abuse on their victims. We need to stand up to bullies and not let them strip us of our self-esteem. Bullies must face the consequences of their actions with either therapy or some version of criminal punishment.

COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING


COMMUNICATIVE LANGUAGE TEACHING

·         Teaching Procedurs     :

1.      Pre Activity
a.       Teacher enters the classroom, greets the students and asks them how their condition are.
Example: “Assalamu’alaikum,good morning my students. How are you today? Before we start our study lets pray together”.
b.      Teacher checking students attendance.
Example : “who is absent today?”.
c.       Teacher giving motivation for students.
Example : teacher, student, driver, postman, farmer.

2.      Core Activity
a.       Students do to the task 1 by answering the question
b.      Students do to the task 2 by creating the dialog
c.       Students present the new dialog in front of the class

3.      Post Activity
a.       Teacher gives conclusion of the material.
Example : “ oke my students, just now we study about some of job. And we will study about it deeply next week”.
b.      Teacher gives homework for students
Example : ”Open page 192 than answer those quetion. It is for your homework.”
c.       Teacher say Hamdallah and say good bye
Example : “ oke time is over. See you next week,and lets pray Hamdallah together.


·         Task 1 (Answering the question)
Teacher ask some question for students about Job, and students must be answer the question.
Example :
1.      Who am I? I am a teacher
2.      Who are you? You are a student
3.      Who worked at the police station? Policeman
4.      Who send a letter to your home? Postman
5.      Who drive a car? Driver

·         Task 2 ( Creating the dialog)
Teacher gives instruction for students to create a dialogue about job.

Please create a dialogue with your tablemate about the ideals of you in the future!
Example :
John     : hai Anna, what you want to be in the future?
Anna   : I want to be a teacher
John     : why?
Anna   : because I can teach my students. How about you John?
John     : Iwant to be a driver, so that I can drive my car everywhere I want.

·         Task 3
After you have done create your dialog about job, please come in front of the class with your tablemate to present it.
