AUDIO LINGUAL METHOD


AUDIO LINGUAL METHOD
·         Material/topic              : Family
·         Grade                          : Elementary School
·         Time Allocation          : 15’
·         Teaching Procedurs     :

1.      Pre Activity
a.       Teacher enters the classroom, greets the students and asks them how their condition are.
Example: “Assalamu’alaikum,good morning my students. How are you today? Before we start our study lets pray together”.
b.      Teacher checking students attendance.
Example : “who is absent today?”.
c.       Teacher giving motivation for students.
Exampe : “ Do you have sister or brother?” or “with whom do you life?”

2.      Core Activity
a.       Students do to the task 1 (answering the question)
b.      Students do to the task 2 (repeating)
c.       Students do to the task 3 (making a family tree)

3.      Post Activity
a.       Teacher gives conclusion of the material.
Example : “ oke my students, just now we study about the member of family”
b.      Teacher gives homework for students
Example : “Open page 55 than answer those quetion. It is for your homework.”
c.       Saying thanks to God
Teacher say Hamdallah and say good bye
Example : “ oke time is over. See you next week,and lets pray Hamdallah together.


·         Task 1 (answering the question)
Teacher gives students some question about their family members.
Example :
1.      Do you have grandmother?
2.      Do you have cousin?
3.      Do you have nephew?

·         Task 2 (repeating)
Teacher shows family tree and Teacher reads aloud the family tree after it the students must be repeat following the teacher

·         Task 3 (making a family tree)
Teacher give instruction for students to making a family tree.
Example :
Please make a family tree, freely!

AVOIDING JUNK FOOD

I.                   Attention Gathering/Introduction
Do you know that a simple fast food can lead you to some serious sickness such as heart attack and lack of energy? As we know that fast food is a very important meal in the America, and a quarter of the American suffer from it sickness affect and some of them even die?
Fast food is becoming part of our life in the modern society. Due to convenience and rushing for time, many of us are now depending on fast food for our meal. Also, fast food is at almost anywhere for example in shopping center, high way, even airport, to make it so easily access that we all find it very convenience. Added with their delivery services and fast services, it is not only convenient but also fast to save times when we are in the rush. we all eat fast food because it is convenient and tasty, and we are also attracted to lots of promotion and free gifts, but we do not know that every bite we take, we are risking our life. Many of us know that fast food is not good to our health but we do not know how bad it is.
Today I would like to persuade my audience to stop eating fast food as the hamful ingredian in the fast food.

II.                Body

a.  First point : Junk food is bad because it contains chemical flavor
- This means that junk food is very poor in nutrition
- The prepare part is definitely added with preservatives to make it last and preservative is very harmful to our health.
- According to Eric Schlosser (2001, in his best seller book entitled Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal, he says that just about all the food in a fast food industry is processed; so much of the flavor is destroyed. Eric Schlosser also said that fast food is heavy on fat, salt and sugar, and reduced nutrient.

b. Second point: junk food is unhealthy from it uses of too much of oil.
-fast food need to be fast cook and lots of oil are needed
- Fat and calories are difficult to digest in our body and undigested fat and calories will be accumulated in our body to cause too much oil in our body
-The Star newspaper reported in A Big Fat Problem (2009) by Priya Kulasagran says that government worldwide are bracing themselves for an “obesity epidemic” soon. This condition can potentially lead to a range of health problems such as heart disease, diabetes and even premature death.

c. Third point: Junk Food can swings your mood
- Over sustained periods of junk food eating, blood circulation drops due to fat accumulation.
- A high fat and sugary meal can cause your blood sugar levels to rise and fall extremely quickly. When this happens your
mood and energy levels to rise and fall extremely quickly. When this happens your mood and energy levels change dramatically.
- When you have a sumptuous junk meal rich in oil you will feel drowsy and fail to concentrate. These are traced to affect in
immediate and medium term periods.

III.             Summary
In a nutshell, constant and regular consumption of fast food can lead to an overall unhealty condition. Malnutrition, obesity, increased risks of heart attack; hypertension and an overall unhealthy body are some of the things that follow a junk food addiction. These conditions are the effects of some of the ingredients in the junk food which contain a lot of artificial food additives, can lead to major health effects and also swings your mood as well.

Example : use, bring, draw, open the door.

a.       Students do to the task 1 (writing)
b.      Students do to the task 2 (speaking)

3.      Post Activity
a.       Teacher gives conclusion of the material.
Example : “ oke my students, just now we study about some of vocabulary. And we will study about it deeply next week”.
b.      Teacher gives homework for students
Example : “please make sentences with the correct vocabulary, freely.”
c.       Teacher say Hamdallah and say good bye
Example : “ oke time is over. See you next week,and lets pray Hamdallah together



·         Task 1 (writing)
Students write 4 sentences based on the teacher activities.
Example :
1.      Teacher use watch in her left hand
2.      Teacher bring a bag
3.      Teacher draw a scenary on the whiteboard
4.      Teacher open the door

·         Task 2 (speaking)
Students speak 5 sentences based on the student’s activities
